Designed for a logo competition initiated by “France 3,” the French public state television broadcaster, this project proposes an official visual identity for the Upper Rhine region. The concept addresses the Rhine River area as a shared economic and cultural space connecting France, Germany, and Switzerland.

The logo explores the idea of connection through typography, aiming to present the Upper Rhine as a continuous region rather than a set of national borders.

The promotional posters are based on original photographs taken by Gökhan in churches and cathedrals across the Alsace-Lorraine region and the Switzerland-Germany-France border area. By moving the camera during exposure, the stained-glass imagery was abstracted, transforming architectural detail into expressive visual compositions that support the project’s cross-border narrative.
